Cooltown or "Cool Town" or "CoolTown" is a network architecture and protocol for the construction of pervasive computing infrastructure. It was intended for wireless LAN commercial services in the style of augmented reality (see also here). It was invented at HP Labs in and first announced by Carly Fiorina in November 1999 at COMDEX and was conceived of by Jeff Morgan and others. It was never brought to market.[1][2][3]
