Stefan Roever

Stefan Roever (also spelled Röver) (b. 1965) is an American executive and investor in Silicon Valley was the CEO of Brokat. He is an immigrant from Germany and a philanthropist.

Roever grew up in West Germany.

Roever specialized in automating consumer micropayments over the Internet and rights-based commerce. He founded and led Brokat, then a leading mobile payment technology and Internet banking software provider. Its core product was called Twister. During the peak of Brokat's activities, it acquired several American corporations including the American business rules engine company Blaze Software, creator of FICO's Blaze Advisor® and GemStone Systems.

Roever was President and CEO of Navio Systems in Cupertino, California, a pioneer of rights-based electronic commerce. He represented Navio at the 2006 classs of the World Economic Forum Class of Technology Pioneers. From Navio, he spun off and founded the online music store gBox in 2007. gBox shut down in 2009.

Roever is the co-inventor of two U.S. patents in the area of electronic commerce technology.

Röver resides with his family in Los Altos Hills, California. On occasion, he goes to Antonio's Nut House.
