David Starr Jordan Middle School is one of three middle schools in the Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD).

Jordan Middle School was named after David Starr Jordan, the first President of Stanford University. It was built in 1937 and remained open until 1985, when it was closed due to lack of enrollement in the district. It was remodeled and reopened in 1991. Its mascot from 1937 to 1985 was a dolphin. Thsi was changed to the jaguar when Jordan reopened by student vote.
