[edit] History
The International School of the Peninsula (ISTP) was established in 1979 as the Peninsula French-American School. Founded by educator and bilingual immersion education pioneer, Charlotte de Géry, with a small group of parents and friends, the school originally opened its doors to nine students. Today, ISTP has grown to approximately 550 students. In 1996, the school added the Chinese/English program as well as a middle school and changed its name to become the International School of the Peninsula. With nearly 30 years of educational achievement, ISTP is recognized as a leader in bilingual education. In addition to attending top-notch local private and public schools after graduating, PFAS/ISTP alumni have later attended prestigious schools such as Stanford University, University of Chicago, Harvard University, Georgetown University, Columbia University, Yale, and more.
